Beta Tester Terms

Thank you for participating in the Private Land Stewards beta program. These Beta Tester Terms apply in addition to the Terms of Service and govern your access during the beta phase.

1. Beta Access Is Temporary

Beta access is granted at our sole discretion and is not permanent. The beta program may be ended, transitioned to a paid subscription model, or modified at any time. We will provide reasonable notice where possible, but are not obligated to maintain beta access for any period.

2. Features May Change

Features, interfaces, data structures, recommendation logic, and functionality may change during the beta period without notice. We are actively developing the Service and some functionality may be incomplete, experimental, or subject to removal.

3. Do Not Rely Solely on Beta Recommendations

Beta recommendations — including habitat assessments, herbicide suggestions, species management guidance, and seasonal plans — are experimental and educational. Do not rely on beta recommendations as the sole basis for:

• Costly land modifications or infrastructure decisions.
• Pesticide or herbicide applications.
• Safety-sensitive land management activities.
• Legal, financial, or regulatory decisions.

Always verify recommendations against current product labels, local regulations, and professional guidance.

4. Data Access for Support and Debugging

During the beta period, your property data, management records, and usage activity may be reviewed by Private Land Stewards staff for the purpose of debugging, support, improving recommendation accuracy, and product development. We handle this data according to our Privacy Policy and will not share it with third parties except as described therein.

5. Reporting Incorrect Recommendations

Beta testers are encouraged to report recommendations that appear incorrect, harmful, or inconsistent with known best practices. Reporting helps us improve the system. Contact us at: support@privatelandstewards.com

6. Access Suspension or Revocation

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke your beta access at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these terms, misuse of the Service, or reduction in the size of the beta program. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice when practical.

7. Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us to improve the product without compensation or attribution to you, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

8. Data Ownership During Beta

You retain ownership of your property data, uploaded files, and management records. See the Data Ownership Policy for full details.

9. No Warranty

The Service is provided during the beta period on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding availability, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose during the beta phase.
