Private Land Stewards, LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company (“Private Land Stewards,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates the Private Land Stewards website, mobile applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains the categories of information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to users.
1. Information We Collect
Account and profile information. We collect information such as your name, email address, organization or company name, account role, team membership, permissions, and profile details. Authentication credentials are handled by our authentication service provider. We do not receive or store your plaintext password.
Property and land-management information. Depending on the features you use, we may process information associated with properties, land-management activities, or organization accounts, including property names and descriptions, GPS coordinates, GIS boundaries, maps, stand and habitat records, food-plot history, hunt and harvest logs, trapping records, wildlife observations, dog or livestock records, spray and treatment records, notes, management plans, and related operational information. Some of this information may constitute personal information when it identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to an individual.
Location and mapping information. With your permission, the Service may collect approximate or precise location information from your device while you use location-dependent features, such as mapping, navigation, recording observations, or synchronizing offline records. Precise location information may be considered sensitive personal information or sensitive data under applicable law. We may also process offline map data, synchronized location records, and spatial data imported from KML, shapefile, CSV, GeoJSON, or similar formats.
Sources of Information. We collect personal information directly from you; automatically when you use the Service; from account owners, administrators, team members, consultants, or other authorized users; from service providers acting on our behalf; and from third-party services or data sources that you choose to connect to or import into the Service.
Files and media. We may collect photographs, attachments, documents, maps, reports, and other files you upload or create through the Service.
Team and third-party-provided information. Account owners, consultants, employees, managers, or invited users may provide information about other authorized users or submit data on behalf of a landowner, organization, or client. Users are responsible for having authority to provide that information.
Usage, device, and diagnostics information. We may collect IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, app version, pages or screens viewed, feature interactions, timestamps, crash information, synchronization status, and standard server logs.
Payment and subscription information. Payments may be processed by Stripe, an app store, or another payment provider. We do not store full payment-card numbers. We may retain subscription status, transaction identifiers, billing history, plan information, and related records.
Communications and feedback. We collect support requests, survey responses, beta feedback, feature suggestions, and other communications you send to us.
Notifications. If you enable notifications, we or our providers may process push-notification tokens and notification preferences.

We do not use property-specific customer data to train Private Land Stewards models for use across customers unless the applicable customer has affirmatively opted in.
When a user requests an AI-assisted feature, selected information may be transmitted to a contracted AI service provider solely to generate the requested output, subject to provider terms and data-protection commitments. Information may also remain for a limited period in backups or other systems where immediate deletion is not reasonably practicable. We may retain information as required or permitted by law, including when reasonably necessary for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, or other legitimate legal purposes. We may also retain information in aggregated or de-identified form where it cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
