PRIVATE LAND STEWARDS
Pesticide and Chemical Application Disclaimer
Private Land Stewards, LLC | Effective September 12, 2026
Important label warning Always obtain and read the complete, current pesticide labeling before purchase, mixing, transport, storage, handling, or application. The labeling and applicable law control. Information in the Service is for educational and planning purposes only.
1. Informational Use Only
Private Land Stewards may provide or display pesticide-related information, including information concerning herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, seed treatments, labeled application rates, timing, adjuvants, use patterns, and treatment planning. Unless expressly identified otherwise, pesticide information provided through the Service is for informational and planning purposes only and is not a substitute for the current product labeling or applicable legal requirements.
2. Sources, Updates, and Limitations
Information may be summarized from product labeling, government sources, university extension materials, manufacturer materials, forestry or wildlife-management publications, and other references. Summaries may be incomplete, contain database or transcription errors, or become outdated. Information displayed in the Service may not correspond to the particular formulation, registration number, label version, supplemental labeling, or product in the user's possession. Private Land Stewards is not a pesticide registrant, manufacturer, regulator, university extension service, or licensing authority and does not represent that the Service captures every label direction, supplemental label, special local-need registration, emergency exemption, restriction, or use condition.
3. The Label and Law Control
Under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, it is unlawful to use a registered pesticide in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Additional state, tribal, or local restrictions may apply. Users must read and follow the labeling accompanying the product in their possession and verify any applicable supplemental labeling, state registration or restrictions, and other requirements before purchasing or using a pesticide.
4. State Registration and Applicator Requirements
A product registered, permitted, or lawful for a particular use for one use or jurisdiction may not be registered or permitted elsewhere. Some products, sites, methods, or use patterns require a certified or licensed applicator. Restricted-use pesticides are subject to additional controls. Contact the applicable state department of agriculture, extension service, environmental agency, product registrant, or licensed applicator for current requirements.
5. Environmental, Worker, and Site-Specific Risks
Pesticide use may also be subject to geographically specific restrictions, including endangered-species requirements or other restrictions that may not appear completely in information displayed by the Service. Pesticide use may be affected by aquatic and wetland restrictions, endangered-species protections, buffer zones, wind and drift limits, temperature and weather conditions, sensitive crops and neighboring property, grazing and harvest restrictions, re-entry intervals, pre-harvest intervals, personal protective equipment, Worker Protection Standard requirements, mixing and compatibility, transport, storage, disposal, spill response, and site-specific restrictions. No alert, database, calculation, or warning system in the Service is guaranteed to identify every applicable hazard or restriction.
6. Calculations and Application Plans
Rates, area calculations, tank-mix calculations, timing suggestions, and generated plans may be inaccurate because of user input, map accuracy, product formulation, units, equipment calibration, environmental conditions, or data errors. Independently verify every calculation against the current labeling and actual field conditions. Never use a calculation or plan generated by the Service to increase an application rate beyond what the applicable labeling permits or to authorize a site, method, mixture, timing, or other use not permitted by applicable labeling or law. If information generated by the Service conflicts with applicable labeling, the labeling is the law and users should follow the label.
7. Application Records and Spray Logs
The Service may allow users to create historical application records, planning suggestions, copied label information, or automatically generated calculations. These are different types of information and should be reviewed accordingly. Private Land Stewards does not represent that any spray log or generated record automatically satisfies federal, state, certification, employer, USDA-program, insurance, or other recordkeeping requirements. The presence of information in a spray log does not mean that Company has verified the legality, accuracy, completeness, or regulatory sufficiency of the underlying application. Users are responsible for determining and documenting the information required for their jurisdiction and situation.
8. Professional Consultation
You should consult an appropriately licensed, certified, or qualified professional (including licensed or certified applicators, foresters, agronomists, extension professionals, veterinarians, environmental professionals, or other qualified advisors for significant control programs, restricted-use pesticides, aquatic, wetland, or endangered-species concerns, USDA-enrolled properties, livestock or grazing areas, sensitive crops, worker exposure, or unfamiliar products and sites) when you are uncertain about applicable labeling, legal requirements, calculations, environmental restrictions, or safe use.
9. User Responsibility and No Guarantee of Outcomes
You are responsible for determining whether and how to select, purchase, transport, store, mix, apply, record, and dispose of pesticides and for complying with applicable labeling and law. Results vary, and Private Land Stewards does not guarantee efficacy, safety, legality, environmental outcome, crop or timber response, wildlife response, or avoidance of drift, injury, contamination, resistance, or property damage.
10. Limitation
The disclaimers, limitations of liability, and other risk-allocation provisions in the Terms of Service apply to pesticide-related information, calculations, plans, records, and features. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability to the extent such liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
